After Nokia World 2011 closed its doors, and Nokians were dismantling everything, the@Nokia_Connects team took us to record a podcast with @Ew4n frommobileindustryreview, @rafeblandford from allaboutsymbian, and @bensmithuk fromwirelessworker. I had the opportunity to contribute to the podcast as the only U.S-based blogger in the panel. I argue that it is unfortunate Nokia didn’t announce any U.S Windows Phones and will miss Christmas here, but it doesn’t matter since they announced they will announce a “portfolio” of devices early 2012. They are practically unknown here, so no one is waiting for anything; Nokia should take its time to announce a world class champion over here.
