The two mini smartphones with ‘Facebook inside‘ has just official announced by Sony Ericsson. The new handsets are called the Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini and the Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini Pro. A couple of new Android smartphones are successors to the previous models, the Xperia X10 Mini and Xperia X10 Mini Pro.
Like the SE’s Xperia Arc, Xperia Play, Xperia Neo, and Xperia Pro, the new Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini and Xperia Mini Pro handsets are running on Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS.
Basically, both new SE’s smartphones have similar features but the difference is a slide-out QWERTY keyboard on Xperia Mini Pro.
Other specifications on Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini and Mini Pro including a 3-inch capacitive touchscreen scratch-resistant Reality Display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine, a resolution of 320 x 480 pixel (HVGA), a rear-facing 5MP autofocus camera with 720p video recording, a front VGA camera (for Xperia Mini Pro), 3.5 mm audio jack, Wi-Fi, DLNA certification, aGPS, quad-band GSM and HSPA support.
In additional, there are Office Suite, PlayNow, Track ID, xLOUD Experience, and Facebook inside Xperia that integrates social connections throughout the phone, by making Facebook immediately accessible from the most used areas of the phone including the picture gallery, phonebook, music player, and calendar.
New Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini and Mini Pro smartphones are boasts a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 320MB of built-in memory, a 2GB memory card pre-installed, and a 1200 mAh removable battery.
Dimensions of SE Xperia mini are 88 x 52 x 16mm with weights 94 grams. The SE Xperia mini pro measures 92 x 53 x 18mm and weights 136 grams.
Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini Pro will be available in four flavors – black, white, pink and turquoise, while Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini will comes in black, white, dark pink and blue color options.
Both new Sony Ericsson handsets will launch on the third quarter of the year.
