Besides Lumia 800 and 710 phones, Nokia is also announced its featurephones during Nokia World 2011, the Nokia Asha 200 and the Nokia Asha 201. This handset is based on S40 (Series 40) platform and the Asha brand is meaning hope that derived from the Hindi word.
Both Nokia Asha 200 and Asha 201 featurephones is a same device but one difference. Newly Asha 200 is a dual SIM phone with hot-swapping cards, while the Asha 201 is usual phone with one SIM card slot. It is GSM/EDGE network support.
The Nokia Asha 200 S40-based device has features a 2.4-inch screen with QVGA (240 x 320 pixels) resolution and a physical QWERTY keyboard.
There is a MicroSD card slot, 10 MB of built-in storage, a 2MP camera, FM tuner, and Bluetooth. Dimensions of Nokia Asha 200 are 115.4 x 61.1 x 14 mm and weight 105 g.
Its 1,430 mAh battery is enabling up to 7 hours of talk time, 37 days on standby mode.
Nokia Asha 200 and Asha 201 phones will set price of €60 before taxes and subsidies. The Nokia Asha 200 featurephone will be arriving this year, while Nokia Asha 201 will be available early next month.
